Recipients – US military personnel serving in Iraq

Thousands of US military personnel risk their lives every day in the Middle East to protect the values and freedom that we enjoy.  Living in harsh conditions surrounded by sand and desert 24/7 for months or years at a time can place enormous strain on our troops.  While the threat of danger is obvious, few people realize the impact that home-sickness can have on the morale of our troops.

“Boxes for Mosul” is a wonderful initiative that helps to provide “home comfort items” to our troops that they would otherwise not have.  

“Thank you very much for doing this. Over the course of my multiple deployments, I have witnessed many young soldiers who have volunteered themselves for the sake of our country, on the front lines day and night, living and working with the local nationals of Iraq, only to come back to their living quarters with no recognition whatsoever from the public. No letters, care packages, nothing. But that one day that they finally get something, let me tell you, the smile on that kid's face is priceless.”

In conjunction with Brookfield GRS, BAPRM helped to collect approximately 500lbs of comfort items including candy, cigars, sports socks, microwave snacks, books, magazines and other “everyday” items that are not otherwise available to troops while serving on tour.  BAPRM also acknowledges S&M Moving for their assistance in collecting and shipping the goods.
